PEORIA, Ariz. – The San Diego Padres, who finished second from last in 2016, look to rebuild with a lot of new faces during the 2017 season. The Padres are looking hopeful entering the 2017 season with four of their prospects named to the top 100 list.
Of these prospects, the No. 13 ranked Anderson Espinoza, will look to add depth to the Padres rotation.
With the pitching rotation being a weak point from 2016, they hope to see an improvement in that area with the four new veteran pitchers they added in the offseason.
The Padres will open spring training at Peoria Stadium on Feb. 14 as a member of the Cactus League.
