Blue Jays are looking to perfect their roster with the help of Steve Pearce.
The first baseman signed a $12.5 million, two-year deal in December with the team. In September, Pearce required surgery to repair flexor tendons in his right forearm following an injury to his elbow. He is not expected to be thr
owing at full strength until April, says CBS Sports.
Before he made the move to Toronto, the 33-year-old played for the Baltimore Orioles. He will enter the 2017 season with a career slash line of .254/.333/.441 in more than 1600 at-bats.
