SURPRISE, Ariz.- Jonathan Lucroy the Rangers catcher is not only viewed for his skills, but also leadership throughout the country. Lucroy has devoted his time to American Veternans, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Miracle League, and Open Arms Home.
His involvement with the American Veternans is through his best friend whom played baseball together at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His friend joined the National Guard after college. He was deployed to Afghanistan, where he was wounded.
This inspired Lucroy to help American Veternans out. Lucroy is an inspiration to fans, and other MLB players. He shows what leadership is, and how important it is to give back to others.
