MESA, Ariz.- With opening day less than a month away, Oakland fans have a little bit more to be excited about than just the players on the field.
On a Facebook video posted by President Dave Kaval last Tuesday, the team announced that a 20-ounce serving of one of the 70 plus beers on tap will cost $10 for a premium selection and $8 for domestic during the 2017 season.
In comparison, a twelve-ounce beer cost $5 in 2016, or about $.43 an ounce. According to a team marketing report beer will be down about $.03 per ounce this season.
Kaval also has revamped the rest of the concessions at the park, adding up to 40 different food choices including 16 food trucks at every game.
In an effort to give the fans more of what they want, spectators will also be able to suggest new menu items by tweeting their ideas with the hashtag #athleticsfoodie. Each month the Athletics will choose the top five products to then be voted on by the public in which the winning dish will be added to the menu.
