TAMPA, Fla.- The New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius will undergo further tests for an injury to his throwing shoulder during the World Baseball Classic.
According to ESPN, the Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said that Gregorius, a five-year veteran, will miss the start of the season.
The Yankees will take a further look at him when he returns to camp. Gregorius was playing for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic and will not play in their sem final game matchup versus Puerto Rico.
Gregorius batted .347, hit one home run and eight RBI’s for the Netherlands.
