Phoenix– Unfortunate news coming out of Dodgers camp this morning, with pitcher Scott Kazmir entering the 2017 season on the disabled list.
The move comes just one day after a lackluster outing for the 33-year-old lefty who allowed a home run and walked five in just three innings. Manager Dave Roberts isn’t exactly sure yet what is wrong with Kazmir, simply saying it was his hip. The same hip that caused him to miss a lot of time in the 2016 season as well. As reported by Gabe Burns.
Kazmir was making his second start of spring and it was his first since March 6th. Going into spring training Kazmir was considered a favorite to crack the opening day rotation.
Kazmir has two years remaining on his contract.
