DENVER – The first pitch on Opening Day is something all fans can get a little excited about. But the organization is at its best when it picks someone, or someones. that mean something to the city. If anyone should throw that first pitch, it should be two creators that put little towns in Colorado on the map.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker are the creators of the wildly popular cartoon, South Park. The TV-MA show has been around since the 1990’s and has had new episodes come out as recently as early December of 2016.
Both men were born in small towns in Colorado, and so their show revolves around four fourth-grade boys from a little town in Colorado called South Park. It has already been made clear that that Parker and Stone have a soft spot for sports, having created episodes that include hockey, football, basketball and of course, baseball.
Put these two funny men in purple jerseys and send them to Coors Field to throw out the first pitches of the season. It would sure make my day, because I’m a huge fan of South Park and I know a lot of people in Colorado are too.
