“In West Philadelphia I was born and raised” sings Will Smith in the opening song of the classic 90’s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Although the show is not biographical, Smith is indeed a native of Philadelphia and has expressed his love for the city on many occasions – often stopping by for a Philly cheese steak or donning jerseys of the city’s pro sports teams.

His ties to Philly would make him an exceelent choice for a Phillies opening day pitch. Plus his dedication to fitness is evident in movies such as 2016’s blockbuster, Suicide Squad – so his pitch is sure to be a good one.
