GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Reds signed veteran Ryan Raburn to a minor-league deal for $900,000 with an invitation to major-league training camp.

Last season the 35-year-old played both corner outfield spots and first base. In his big league career he’s played every position other than shortstop and catcher but hasn’t played second or third since 2013.

Raburn played in 113 games for the Rockies last season, hitting .220/.309/.404 with nine home runs and 30 RBI. He has previously played for the Tigers and the Indians as well.

If Raburn passes his physical exam he will compete for a job on the Reds’ bench.
