This deal comes less than a year after Anderson made his major league debut for the South Siders. This deal also comes with the option for two more seasons at $25.5 million, putting the potential value of the deal well over $50 million.

Making his debut this past June, Anderson recorded a .283 batting average, 57 runs, 22 doubles, six triples, nine home runs, 30 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 99 games played.

This contract comes as the most money ever payed to a major league player without a full year of experience in the league.
